about

Definitely on the Scrap List... I wrote this song in 2002, my first summer away from home. I was living at a friends house by myself while he was home in Jersey. I still owe him rent money. I was pretty broke, and the painting job I had been expecting wasn't doing much business. I was young and trying to write a master piece.

My new friend at the time, now a best friend for life Brian Redmond produced this killer beat from scraps that I had laid down. namely the breakbeat, harmonics, and bassline. He made the beat dope. I remember a good rapper friend of mine saying the beat deserved a better rapper than me.. he said Jay-z as an example. This was 2002... money ain't a thang.
